Collection at the end of the school day:
Parents are responsible for ensuring that their child(ren) are collected from school at the end of the school day by an adult known to school. However, we are aware that situations can occur at short notice where this isn’t possible. If you are likely to be late collecting your child(ren) from school and/or there will be an adult collecting your child(ren) who isn’t known to school, please contact the school office as soon as possible with this information.

General routines for the end of the school day:

Foundation Stage/Key Stage 1:

Children will ‘point to’ their adult before being allowed to leave school. Pupils will not be allowed to leave unless they can identify their adult.

Key Stage 2:
Children are allowed to leave the building at the end of the school day and go onto the playground. They must return to their teacher in the school building if their adult is not on the playground waiting to collect them. School staff will then supervise children until their adult arrives. We expect our KS2 children to be responsible enough for this procedure and this procedure is reinforced with children regularly. Should any parent feel that their child may need additional support with this, they should inform their child’s teacher.

After School Childcare:
Collection arrangements are in place for children who attend Wasps or Cookies Link Club. These have been agreed with the school and are reviewed regularly. Details can be obtained from the staff of Wasps/Cookies.

School Clubs:
If you child is attending an after school club, arrangements will be in place for ensuring that they are supervised from their classroom to the club. Arrangements for collection at the end of a club will vary dependent on the club. Parents will be informed of these when signing up for the club.
