Prospective Parents

We invite parents to visit our Foundation Stage department and the rest of the school during open week. If your child is due to start school in September 2012, you are invited to our 'Open Week', week beginning 10th October 2011. Times for you to tour our school are -  Monday - 9.30am, Tuesday 9.30am, Wednesday 3.30pm, and Thursday 1.30pm. We are limiting 10 families per tour so please book a place by phoning the school office. More times and dates will be made available if these tours become full. We are proud to show you our school and look forward to meeting you.

Transition into School

Forms must be submitted into Warrington LA by 15th January 2012 and parents of children starting school in September 2012 will find out if their choice has been successful at the end of April 2012. We will be holding 'Welcome Play Hours' for these children and their parents in May. You will be able to meet some of the Foundation Stage staff and make an initial partnership with your child's new school. Five Pre-school sessions will begin at the end of May and will continue after the Whit holidays on Tuesday mornings, Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday mornings and Wednesday afternoon. The children will be invited to one of these sessions for five/six weeks.

Starting at Barrow Hall Primary School  

The children will start school part time for the first three weeks in September. 

When children first come to school and spend their first year in reception, we aim for it to be a happy, stimulating, exciting place for them to learn and play.  Play underpins the development and learning for young children.

We aim to provide well planned experiences for the children to develop their skills, not only academically but also socially and emotionally. Remembering that each child learns at a different pace and has their own learning style. A happy and rewarding learning experience in reception provides a firm foundation for future success.
