Parents

Parental Involvement in the Classroom

1)  Try to ensure that you always sign the Parents Book when you enter school.  The purpose of this is to keep accurate records in the event of fire.

2)  Please try to be on time and if you are unable to make it let us know as soon as possible.

3)  Parents are welcomed into the classroom on the understanding that any information gained  from teachers or pupils  should be treated as confidential.

4)  Barrow Hall C.P. is an imperfect school in an imperfect world.  We work hard to rectify mistakes but if parents have any concerns about things in school they should inform the Head teacher and not carry them to the school gate!

5)  Parents should never accept rudeness or misbehaviour from any child. They must report all incidents of this to the teacher rather than deal with it themselves.

6)  Each parent will be assigned to a teacher who is responsible for the parent's support.

7)  Parents should make themselves aware of the Fire Alarm procedure.

8)  As the LEA can accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property, parents are strongly advised to consider the things they bring into school.

9)  Parents will be asked to contribute to the life of our school in a variety of ways.  Some of these will have obvious value, others may seem mundane, even menial.  The one thing they all have in common is that the time you offer to our school is very much appreciated.

10) We hope, above all, that you are made welcome in school and enjoy the time you spend with us.
