ICT

ICT is a very important part of the school curriculum.

ICT is taught as a separate subject throughout the school, from reception to Year 6. Children are taught to use software packages for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, drawing and modelling and controlling objects.  They are also taught to use the internet and e-mail.

Skills learned in ICT lessons are put to good use while studying other subjects.  The school also uses a range of specialised software to enhance the children's learning across the curriculum and are computers are constantly in use.

The safe use of modern communication technologies, whether sending a text message or using a chat room, is an important issue.  The school addresses this problem by spending some time each term studying some aspect of E-safety.

Parents who are interested in this subject will find more information at www.gridclub.com.
