Welcome to our Reception Classes.

Welcome back and we hope you all enjoyed the half term break.

To finsih off last terms Animals topic we have arranged for a visit from Zoolab who will be bringing different animals into school for the children to look at. Further details will follow.

This term's topic is entitled 'Food' and we will be looking at this topic in a variety of different ways. We will be thinking about the different foods that we like to eat as well as foods from around the world. We will be setting up a cafe as a role play area so if you have any old menus or posters we would be grateful to receive them.

There are lots of other things happening this term too! As you are aware we are having our Sports Day on Tuesday 15th June , so please keep everything crossed for fine weather!! If rain interrupts the proceedings we will let you know as soon as possible what the new date will be. Lets hope we dont need it.

Class R3 (Mrs Highcock's class) will be performing their class assembly on Friday 25 June in the Infant Hall at 9.15am so please come along if you can

As part of our PE sessions this term we will hopefully be spending time outside and taking part in team games so could you please make sure that your child has a PE kit in school every week.

This term sees the beginning of our Pre-School sessions so there will be lots of children in school preparing for September and we are encouraging our current Reception children to be good role models for them. This term will also see the beginning of the Transition to Year 1 and you will be receiving information about the parents meeting in the very near future.

We are hoping to spend much more time outdoors and would be grateful for any unwanted outdoor toys and equipment you may have (they need to be in good condition and safe for the children to use of course). If you have anything you would like to donate to school, please call in and speak to your child's class teacher. If have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask any member of the Foundation Stage Team.
